It’s time to put together the order for the Tombstone T-Shirts. The shirts will be dark blue with white print this year. The only design submitted was by Luis so we will go with that, we’ll have a sleeve design as well. Last year we ordered 70 shirts and the price ran from $13 to $16, depending on size. If you are interested in ordering the shirts please let me know size and quantity as soon as you can, we will be collecting funds during the Sunday rides. We only have about a week to put the order together. If you need to make other arrangements to get payment to me just let me know.

David Del Toro put together a ride for those interested. I have removed the phone number here so check your email if interested. Here are the details from his email:

Mario Luevano and I are planning a day-long ride to San Antonio, NM for lunch at the Buckhorn Tavern. They have some of the best green-chile cheeseburgers in this area. With this great weather this week we thought about going to San Antonio, NM thru Alamogordo, Tularosa, Carrizozo and then coming in the back way to San Antonio, NM. We would eat lunch then come back on I-25.

We are sending this invite to any and all who would like to join us. Mario will be waiting at the gas station on 54 and McCombs on Friday at 8:00 a.m. The plan is to leave there around 8:00 a.m. and then I and some of the HOGS from Las Cruces will meet up with you all at the Shell gas station on the left side of the road right before you get into Tularosa.

Even though the weather will be sunny it will still be brisk and cold early in the morning. Dress warmly, wear sunscreen and make sure you show up with a full tank of gas and a full stomach, as we will not be stopping to eat until we get to San Antonio, NM, which will be about 3.5 hour ride from El Paso.

Again, the plan is to leave EP around 8:00 a.m., stop for gas and meet LC group at Shell station right before you get to Tularosa. We will then go from Tularosa, through Carrizozo and into San Antonio, NM for lunch. After lunch we get on I-25 south and stop in T or C for gas then head on back to EP/LC.

Hope many of you can make it. You still have plenty of time to call in sick on Friday…lol. If you are interested in going let Mario know at (number removed) so he can be waiting for you at 54 and McCombs. Right now there are about two or three LC HOG members that have told me that they plan on going. The more the merrier. Mario and I hope to see many of you on Friday.

Thanks.

David Del Toro

I just wanted to remind everyone of the HOG Christmas Party on December 10th. The reserved hall is only for one hundred people, and we’ve ordered food for 100 as well. Cost is $20 for each adult ($40 per couple) and $10 for children. Miwoo started collecting today and has sold about 40 seats already. I’ve received other calls, she will be collecting again this Sunday, if you need to meet another time just give me a call.

The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Dealer Demo Event is scheduled in El Paso for Friday, October 22, 2010, and Saturday, October 23, 2010. A new, bigger truck from the Motor Company will be here with many more bikes than we usually have. I think there are 19 new 2011 model motorcycles as well as a Tri-Glide trike for demo rides. We plan on having two different routes to ride, the first about 20 miles, and the second about 13 to 15 miles. I don’t have the exact models that will be available to ride yet, but should get a list of them in the next week or so. I’ll pass that information on as soon as I get it.
